Name: Jen Country: United States Gender: Female
Interests: It sounds weird to say I'm "interested" in Jesus, but He's the most important thing in my life, so...you know what I mean. I love hanging out with my family and friends (in proportionate doses!) and being my quirky self. I'm a music fan, but I won't claim to listen to stuff that anyone else actually thinks is cool...I just listen to whatever appeals to me. I love to read (classics, sci-fi a la Michael Crichton, historical fiction, various non-fiction like memoirs and some biographies, all sorts of stuff) and I love watching movies (comedy, romantic comedy, war/history, non-sappy drama, suspense, action/adventure). I'm crafty and like to travel, and I'm normally up for some sort of wacky-crazy fun as long as it doesn't interfere with my excessive need for sleep. Expertise: I know a bit about a lot of different things. The stuff I probably know the most about would be biological sciences (primarily zoology and behaviorology which isn't really a word), random Disney trivia, etc. I probably know a lot about things that most people don't really care about too. Occupation: Switchboard Operator Industry: Customer Service in the Chemic

I got my hair cut recently (looks good) by my Swedish friend Karin. Very random, I know. She's awesome though and did a great job. I wanted to buy some Beach Blonde shampoo (John Freida), but they didn't have any at Target, so I had to get some Pantene Blonde instead. It smells amazing. I also bought some watermelon LipSmacker chapstick, also smells amazing. Very nostalgic too. The video is of I4. They're cool.
| So, I'm really liking road-trip songs this summer. Something about summer screams "road trip." Here's a few songs that give a great road-trip vibe for me, I'll add more later:
- Drifter - DecembeRadio
- Nothing Left to Lose - Mat Kearney
Happy driving! | | |
| In the interest of convincing you that I'm not completely silly and don't spend all of my time pining after Steve Nash and dancing to Peter Gabriel in my basement, don't forget to check out Castles In the Air, my much deeper and more intelligent-sounding blog. | | |
| Seriously. Not dancing, but maybe inside I am. Anyway. I don't really remember why I was going to post today. US lost to Czech Republic today for World Cup, that stinks. Australia won though, that's good. Jared and Michelle have sucked me into their evil soccer world. Jared's going to Florida though, so it's just Michelle and me for a while; feeding each others' addiction. So not good. More later. | Currently Listening Dizzy up the Girl By The Goo Goo Dolls So, I WAS listening to PG when I started, but by the time I finished, life had moved on. Goo Goo Dolls are cool. Dumb name, cool band. see related |

This is Steve Nash, my new favorite basketball player. :) It's kind of an inside joke. I was watching one of the Pistons' play-off games against the Suns and I saw Steven and my jaw dropped. "Who is that guy?! He looks like a cultist!" I think those were my exact words. The boys thought it was really funny, because Nash is actually a really good player.
Based on further reflection and more observation, I've determined that contrary to first impressions, Steve Nash does not want to kill you, induct you into his cult and then bring you back to life. In fact, when he's not all sweaty and greasy from playing ball, he looks pretty normal--I could see how some girls might think he's kind of cute even (not that I do).
So, he's now "my boy" when it comes to basketball. Rachel's got "her boy," Tayshaun Prince; I just felt left out! Jared owes me a Steve Nash poster. Sorry for the complete randomness today!
